Secondus Restrained as PDP National Chairman, Court Orders in Rivers

A High Court in Rivers State has issued an interim injunction restraining Prince Uche Secondus from parading himself as the National Chairman and member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

A statement from the Special Assistant, Media to the Rivers State governor, Mr Kelvin Ebere said the Degema Judicial Division Vacation Court sitting in Port Harcourt granted the order following a suit filed by Mr Ibe Nwachukwu Alex, Mr Dennis Amadi, Emmanuel Stephen and Umezurike Onucha against the Prince Uche Secondus as first defendant and the PDP as the second defendant.

The statement stated that the charge after reading the affidavit would support the motion of exparte as well as the written address and afternoon hearing the submission of the counsel to the applicant, Mr H.A. Bello, granted the interim injunction restraining Prince Secondus from parading himself as the National Chairman of PDP.

The judge also granted leave to serve by substituted means the originated summons motion on notice, all orders made by the court and all subsequent process of the respondent by pasting same at his home address and publishing same in the newspaper.
