TOPIC: NO STAGNATION

“And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?” (2 Kings 7:3)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how four lepers at the entering in of the gate of Samaria, asked one another, “Why sit we here until we die”? They queried themselves for sitting in one place instead of making a move. They refused to stay in one place and opted for movement. They refused to be stagnated in their condition. They refused to stay where their yesterday met them. They refused to remain on the same level.

Friend, in 2022, take a stand against stagnation. Refuse to be stagnated. Refuse to remain in the same place. Refuse to stay back where your yesterday left you. Refuse to maintain the same level of competence and ability you have always had. Refuse to be counted amongst them that are not improving. Refuse to be caught in the midst of people who are not moving. Refuse every relationship that stagnates your movement.

Those lepers simply decided that they were no longer interested in remaining on the same level. They decided not to be stagnated. This year, DECIDE not to be stagnated. Decide not to operate in levels you have outgrown. Decide not to operate in levels that are lower than your destiny demands. Decide not to operate below your potentials and potentialities. Decide not to be found in the midst of those who are not moving.

The lepers spoke to one another, and collectively refused stagnation, and in the end, they became the messengers of the transformation that happened in Israel. They refused stagnation, and God used them to change the course of events in Israel. If you dare to take a stand against stagnation, even God Himself will have no option but to use you to change the course of things around you. If you refuse stagnation, you will be relevant.

When life gives you a choice either to sit, or to arise and move, choose to arise and move. Refuse to be stagnated.

Isaiah 60:1 says: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”

Declare With Me: In 2022, I refuse to be stagnated, in Jesus’ name!
