FOCAL SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY:

“Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” (John 5:14)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Jesus found the man at the pool of Bethesda in the temple. That man had spent thirty eight years of his life in paralysis; he had been at the pool of Bethesda for a long time; but the moment Jesus smiled on him and healed him, the next place he was found in, was in the temple. His priority after receiving his miracle, was to enter the place of worship. His miracle took him closer to Jesus.

Friend, no matter what you receive from the God that sees you, can you be intentional in letting your miracle push you towards the ‘temple’? Can you be intentional in letting your miracle push you closer to Jesus? Can you be intentional to allow what you have received from the hand of the Lord to draw you closer to the secret place? Can you be intentional to allow your rising to be an occasion to worship God the more?

Jesus did not withhold His mercies from that man at the pool of Bethesda, and when the man received help to rise from his bed, he did not withhold himself from being in the temple. If Jesus did not withhold His goodness from you, then be wise enough not to withhold your worship from him. Be wise enough not to withhold your commitment to the same God who changed your story. Be wise to stay connected to Jesus.

Like that man at Bethesda, get closer to Jesus for every miracle you receive from Him. Dig deeper in your walk with God for every divine intervention you ever receive. Draw nearer to Jesus for every new dimension of His mercies you experience. Move from being in the outer court to being in the inner court and holy of holies as Jesus shows you mercy. Commit to being closer to Jesus than ever before, with every new mercy He shows you.

For every miracle you receive, get closer to Jesus. For every gift you receive, draw closer to the Giver.

James 4:8 says: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

Declare With Me: For every blessing from El Roi, I draw nearer in worship, in Jesus’ name!
