Report by Victor DeGreat – Team Niyola gave us a Battle of tension that ended in history making in The Voice Nigeria 2023 season 4 episode 13. It was full of tension soaked from the first pair of Love and Just Rowland, Mike and Esther, Shade and Pere, finally two vocal beasts according to the coaches, Manuel and Gidion took the night to another level.

Love and Rowland – The Voice Nigeria 2023

Niyola’s first pair of the night, Love and Just Rowland sang Love on Top by Beyonce. The performance was dramatic and emotion filled.

Their vocal strength and tone were similar as Love enjoys herself with the song, allowing Rowland sing without struggling. Love struggled to impress the coaches but got too many backlashes. Niyola went for Rowland leaving Love sad and speechless.

Mike and Esther – The Voice Nigeria 2023

Mike and Esther was Niyola’s second pair for The Voice Nigeria 2023 season Battle in episode 13. They sang Lionel Richie’s All Night Long.

Esther, singing in that lovely red gown gave Mike a battle. Mike tried to find his voice but Niyola send him to the live shows.

Shade and Pere – The Voice Nigeria 2023

Niyola’s fourth pair are two friends as they claim, and one is willing to let the other win. So, Shade and Pere took the stage for the Battle of The Voice Nigeria 2023 singing I Want to Know What Love is by Foreigner.

Did Shade deliberately allow Pere to shine? Two friends, sharing a bond during a competition is so sweet. Their voice and tone is sweet. The pairing is good. They showed emotion, singing and drama. Their performance was electrifying as they complemented themselves while on stage.

However, confused voice coach, Niyola settled for Pere for the live show and sending Shade to test the water at the public votes.

Manuel and Gidion – The Voice Nigeria 2023

The last pair of Niyola sang Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing. They are Manuel and Gidion referred to as the vocal beast season 4 of The Voice Nigeria 2023 in this episode 13.

It was the performance of the night. It made history. Niyola was confused that she confessed ‘I can’t let either of them go’. For their sakes, there is no voting this week. All of the other talents for the public votes were sacrificed.
