Abia Governor-Elect Alex Otti Promises Good Governance For Abians

Report by Victor DeGreat – Alex Otti, Governor-Elect, Abia State promises to will bring good governance to the people of Abia State through appointment of the right people to his team.

Alex Otti speaking on a national television revealed that he has plans to stimulate and grow the state’s economy.

In his words “I will give good governance to the people and will appoint the right people in my team. We will pay salary arrears before the end of this year which is our main focus needed to stimulate and grow the state’s economy”.

“There are actions you will take that will naturally increase the revenue. Some of things I have spoken about, will have direct impact on revenue.

“Some people are given contract to collect revenue as compensation for the roles they have played for politicians. We are not going to tolerate that. We are going to introduce technology into revenue collection.

“It is not economically wise, to rise taxes in depressed or in recession. If anything, what you do, is to give tax breaks, so that spending can increase. When you increase taxes, you are reducing spending”, Alex Otti, governor-elect, Abia state said.
