VIO Mayors Decorates Bishop Dayo Olutayo With Award of Excellence
Bishop Dayo Olutayo, Senior Pastor of Good Tidings Bible Church, Abuja has been decorated with an award of Excellence by members of VIO Mayors for his selfless contribution in road safety matters.
Presenting the award in Abuja, the National Co-ordinator of the VIO Mayors, Dr Yusuf John Suberu said Bishop Dayo Olutayo is a worthy example for leaders who seek after the welfare of their followers.
According to him, Bishop Dayo Olutayo immensely contributed to the education and enlightenment of his congregation on road safety matters and vehicle worthiness, which is part of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Dr Yusuf noted that developing an healthy road safety culture by road users will help to meet the UN target of reducing road traffic accident and injuries by 50% between now and 2030.
The National Co-ordinator of the VIO Mayors called on more religious leaders to inculcate in their messages, road safety tips and the use of vehicles that are road worthy.
Speaking during the presentation, Bishop Olutayo expressed joy over the recognition from the VIO Mayors and commended for the laudable work the organization is doing under the leadership of Dr Yusuf John Suberu.
Bishop Olutayo charged them to do more by spreading their advocacies for road safety and vehicle worthiness to more churches through the collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN and other bodies in the county.
He thanked the VIO Mayors for finding him worth for the honor and promised to making more contribution to surpass the UN’s target on SDG.
