Why Wike, Makinde Visited President-Elect, Bola Tinubu in Abuja

Report by Jonah Dasaint – Nyesom Wike and Seyi Makinde, governors of Rivers and Oyo states respectively visited the president-elect, Bola Tinubu in Abuja barely one-month to swearing-in day.

As Nigerians await the inauguration of a new President on May 29, political activities around the president-elect, Bola Tinubu heightens up with different group visiting him daily.

In what comes as a non-political surprise, Nyesom Wike and Seyi Makinde, governors of Rivers and Oyo states respectively under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP were least visitors to the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Speaking to journalists during the visit to journalists during the visit of the two governors stated that the elections are over, and it is time for serious governance.

Governor Makinde said, he came to pay homage to the president-elect Bola Tinubu and give him his support for good governance of Nigeria.

In same vein, his Rivers state counterpart, Wike noted that elections have come and gone, winners have emerged noting that it is necessary for all Nigerians to rally around the president-elect, Tinubu.

Wike said, every Nigerian is waiting for May 29 to see the inauguration of Tinubu as the President and hit the ground rolling for Nigerians to get want they expect.

He expressed confidence that Bola Tinubu has what it takes to turn Nigerian around calling on Nigerians to give him the necessary support.
