2027: Rhodes-Vivour Accuses APC Of Diverting Attention From Lagosians’ Real Issues
By Dim Oba, LAGOS – The Lagos governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately shifting public attention away from issues affecting residents of Lagos State.
Rhodes-Vivour made the allegation while speaking on the political campaign ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Lagos.
He said the APC had, over time, focused public discourse on what he described as minor issues rather than addressing the pressing challenges confronting Lagosians.
“What I find with the APC is that they strategically and consistently make us major on the minor and we don’t deal with the real issues that are affecting Lagosians,” he said.
The ADC candidate said he would make issues affecting residents the focus of his campaign, promising to continually redirect political discussions towards matters of importance to Lagosians.
“So, in this campaign season, I’m always going to bring it back to the issue,” Rhodes-Vivour added.
He did not, in the statement, specify the particular issues he intended to prioritise, but his comments come as political parties begin preparations for the 2027 elections.
