Governor Akeredolu Laments Non-Refund For Repairs of FG Roads by States

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State laments the continual fixing of federal government roads in the state without refunds.

Governor Akeredolu came out with this during the inspection of the rehabilitation work been carried out on the Ayede/Iwo expressway in Akure North local government area.

He noted that the road was been repaired by his administration to alleviate the suffering of the people who ply that axis daily.

The governor who described the road as a link to the northern part of the country from the south urged the federal government to allocate more funds to the state to enable it carry out more developmental projects for the benefit of the people.

He added that the road which was constructed over twenty years ago requires major maintenance including resurfacing.

Other federal government roads listed by the governor that has been rehabilitated without refunds include the Ilu-Aboh road affected by a blast in 2020, Ifon, Ibele junction among others.
