I’ll Uplift The Living Standard of Bayelsans, Udengs Eradiri, LP Governorship Candidate

Report by Dominic Jide – Udengs Eradiri, the governorship candidate of Labour Party, LP in Bayelsa state has said he will uplift the living standard of Bayelsans, if elected governor.

Udengs Eradiri revealed that he would change the narrative of governance of the state by introducing programmes and policies that would uplift the living standard of Bayelsans generally if he eventually emerges as the next governor of the state.

His statement is coming as the presidential, national Assembly, Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections came to a close and the gubernatorial election in Bayelsa state begins to gather momentum.

Speaking with Journalists shortly after casting his vote at his community in Gbarain/Ekpetiama in Yenagoa local government area of the state further noted that the time has come for the state to experience transformational leadership which, according to him, has eluded the state for a very long time.

Eradiri who is contesting the gubernatorial election under the platform of Labour Party pointed out that it is abundantly clear that the state under the present leadership is lacking basic socio-political and economic growth, stressing that he possesses the requisite experience to put the state on the path of recovery and overall development.

He further reiterated that he had already evolved and anchored his developmental blueprint on four cardinal objectives which are People Education, Agriculture and Prosperity which is tagged “PEAP”

The governorship hopeful revealed that the state’s abundant natural and human capital resources are wasting away basically because of lack of visionary and purposeful leadership, emphasizing that the four point agenda will be given priority attention as those are what the state needs to take it out of the present predicament and placing it among the comity of most developed states in the country.

The former Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) President also stated that there is under-development across the state, particularly at the hintherlands despite the huge allocation accruable to the state from the federation account.

Speaking on the State Assembly election, Hon. Eradiri maintained that the cashless policy introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)  prevented moneybag politicians from vote buying, noting that the election was generally peaceful in his community.
