Nwaeke noted that the intervention underscores the Commission’s commitment to strengthening institutions through capacity building, improved infrastructure, and strategic collaboration. She emphasized that partnerships such as that between the NDDC and NYSC remain critical in driving sustainable development and national growth.
In his response, the Director-General of NYSC, Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed, represented by the Director of Media, Emeka Mgbemena, described the donation as a major boost to the Scheme’s broadcasting operations.
Ahmed noted that the NYSC radio station, which has been operational for over four years, serves as an important training ground for corps members, equipping them with practical media and communication skills.
He expressed gratitude to the NDDC for the support and assured that the equipment would be effectively deployed to enhance the station’s mandate of educating, informing, and entertaining the public.
The initiative further highlights NDDC’s ongoing efforts to support youth development and institutional capacity across the country.
