Psalm 34:1 (AMP) – I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

INSIGHT FOR TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE

During the COVID, a family gathered every evening to praise God despite the unbearable condition. It was a difficult time for the family as the mother became the breadwinner. The husband’s business was at the lowest ebb without savings but he always led the praise and worship session. This continued all through the lockdown period, to the glory of God, the family did not run out of supply throughout that season. Praise God!

Many times, people only praise God in good times. You see them full with praise when they have that big break in their career but express sadness when things go the other way. Praising God is not optional but a compulsory spiritual exercise for believers.

In our bible verse for today, David demonstrated this rare quality. He brought himself under a bond when he ‘I will bless the Lord at all times’. At all times connoted whether it is a big break or small leap in business; or it was a win, or lose situation, these are not determinants for him to praise God. David said, ‘His praise shall continually be in my mouth’.

Beloved, to enjoy the best of God, you must stay praiseful always. Praise is telling God who He is and extolling His capacity. Praise talks possibilities of God, not situations. When a person is praiseful, negativity is eliminated thus creating possibility atmosphere. Let the praise of God continually be in your mouth at all times. Situations should not define your mood, use praise as spiritual tool to conquer situations Make praise a lifestyle and see God take you to extraordinary heights in life.
