Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When we don’t know what or how to pray, the Holy Spirit helps our infirmities and gives us direction in prayer.

The Holy Ghost is a booster of prayer. When we don’t know what or how to pray, the Holy Spirit helps our infirmities and gives us direction in prayer.

For example, you may suddenly begin to have a burden to pray for your parents, siblings, wife or a friend without knowing what to pray for them about. You may perceive in the Spirit that something may be wrong with them, but you may not be able to identify the particular issue.

What to do at such a point is to turn to God and say, “O Holy Spirit, I perceive that something is wrong with a loved one, but I do not really know what is going wrong with them. Help me to pray correctly for them.” Then, you begin to pray in the Spirit.

As you continue praying in tongues, God would begin to give you some spiritual impressions in words. Suddenly, the prayer in the Spirit would be translated to words like, “I attack every demon of distraction; my friend cannot lose his job.”

After a while, you would experience a peace of mind. This shows that the battle is won in the realm of the Spirit. This is how the Holy Spirit helps you to pray when you do not know what or how to pray.

The Holy Spirit helps us to pray correctly because our mind is too limited to know the vastness of situations that confront us or people around us daily.

Remember this: When we don’t know what or how to pray, the Holy Spirit helps our infirmities and gives us direction in prayer.
