APC Behind the Crisis in Labour Party, Factional Spokesman Alleges
Report by Dim Oba – The lingering crisis in the Labour Party, LP has taken a new dimension as a factional spokesman alleges that the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC behind it.
Reports have that, in court, the acting chairman is seeking to withdraw the Labour Party, LP from the suit challenging the outcome of 2023 presidential elections held on February 25.
Speaking on a national television, a factional spokesman of the party said, the APC is behind the crisis in the party.
In his words “APC is behind the attempt to factionalize the Labour party, their motive is to frustrate and dislodge the party after the February 25 achievements that took the APC by surprise. They have disregarded constitutional methods to remove a National Chairman and have recalled
It will be recalled that since after the presidential elections, the Labour Party had been thrown into series of leadership crisis. There has been suspension and counter-suspension of national officers.
Will these actions and reactions of leaders of the party have a negative impact on the party’s case at the tribunal?
