
Opuama-Born Aspirant Solomon David Gains Momentum In Silga Constituency 3 Race
By Jonah Fubara, – A frontline aspirant for the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area (SILGA) Constituency 3 Assembly seat, Dr. Solomon David, has intensified his political consultations with key stakeholders across the constituency.
In continuation of his outreach efforts, Dr. David recently met with Hon. Barr. Festus Daumiebi, a prominent figure from the constituency, as part of moves to strengthen support ahead of the forthcoming election.
Dr. David, who currently serves as Technical Adviser to Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, brings a wealth of leadership experience to the race. His track record dates back to his university days, where he served as President of the Student Union Government, distinguishing himself as a development-oriented leader.
He also made history as the first Chief of Staff in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, a position in which he played a key role in administrative coordination and grassroots governance.
During his consultations, Dr. David reassured constituents of his dedication to quality representation, pledging to serve with integrity and the fear of God.
“I am committed to serving our people with sincerity, transparency, and the fear of God. Our constituency deserves purposeful and inclusive representation,” he said.
Observers highlight that his candidacy carries added significance for Opuama Kingdom, as he stands as the leading aspirant from the area, which has yet to produce a representative for the constituency.
As political activities gather pace, Dr. Solomon David is increasingly seen as a formidable contender in the race, leveraging his experience, grassroots appeal, and vision for development to rally support across SILGA Constituency 3.
