Party Primaries Extension: Civil Society Trades Words with Political Parties
The extension of the timetable for the political party primaries by 6 days by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has spark tension amongst civil societies groups in Nigeria.
In a recent interview on a national television, the Executive Director, YIAGA Africa, Samson Itodo accuses the leadership of the various political parties of lack of seriousness and unprepared for the elections.
He said the political parties had enough time to prepare but choice to mount pressure on the INEC for the extension for selfish reasons thus putting the process under tension. Click here watch the full the interview.
