He however called on all relevant authorities in the state to step into the matter by calling the opposition group to order, maintaining that his kingship of the community in the state is not only recognized by all Yorubas residing in the state but also by the “Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye”, the apex Yoruba interest group under the grand patronship of His Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II.

In view of this ugly development, he also disclosed that his counsel, Juryman Associate Chambers has already written a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa state Command, CP Ben Okolo which stated in clear terms the obnoxious and provocative conducts of the opposition group in the state.

The petition which was written and signed by Oladotun Hassan Esq. further noted that the group’s action is a calculated attempt at misinforming unsuspecting general public, particularly the state government thereby discrediting the integrity of the king and that of his numerous subjects across the state.

Oba Suleiman Oguntunji Oluwaloni further opined that the action of the group has subjected him to untold hardship and palpable fear, adding that the essence of the petition is to call on the Commissioner of Police to accelerate detailed investigation into the action of the opposition group and prosecute them accordingly.

In view of this, he posited that the opposition group has no right whatsoever to enthrone another king in the state, stressing that the constitution of the community is supreme as stated in section 2 and subsection 1.
