Pensioners in Edo Embarks on Peaceful Protest for Unpaid Gratuities

Pensioners in Edo State have embarked on a protest to demand the attention of the government over their unpaid gratuities and other entitlement.

The pensioners who came out in large numbers, displaying placards disrupted movement in the popular Ring road of Benin City, the capital of Edo State, they also blocked other major roads to demand for their unpaid gratuities, non harmonization of pensions and other welfare issues.

The pensioners also lamented on the non payment of gratuities to state pensioners who have retired from service since 2012 and 2013 till date as well as non payment of gratuities to local government workers from 2008 till date.
