
Yenagoa Communities Express Gratitude to Bayelsa Govt
Some communities in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state have expressed gratitude to Bayelsa state government over the rural electricity projects in their communities.
They expressed their appreciation through a committee that made a visit to the office of the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor at the government House in Yenagoa.
Spokesman of the delegation, Mr Allen Inemotimi commended the state government for responding to their plea for the electrification of their streets through the office of the Commissioner in charge of Special Duties in Bayelsa Central.
Mr Inemotimi who narrated their ordeal said they have been without power supply for a long time and all efforts to get connected to the national grid proved abortive until recently when the present administration responded to their appeal.
In his response, Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor said the priorities of the government is to lift the burdens of the people and would continue to embark on more people oriented projects in the eight local government areas of the state for the people to feel the impact of the prosperity administration.
The Deputy Governor thanked the residents of Elebebiri community for their show of maturity, good sense of responsibility and gratitude, he urged them to maintain the prevailing peace in the area.
He equally urged government functionaries to be responsive to the need of the people and appreciated the Commissioner for Special Duties, Bayelsa Central, Mr Flint George for diligently coordinating the execution of the electricity project.
